News > Emily Blunt Joins Wolf Man

Written by David Morgan

Up-and-coming British actress Emily Blunt recently sat down with MTV and confirmed that she's been cast in the remake of The Wolf Man opposite Benicio Del Toro and Anthony Hopkins. Del Toro will of course be recreating the Larry Talbot role invented by Lon Chaney Jr. back in the 1941 version directed by George Waggner. Hopkins will play Sir John Talbot (originally played by Claude Rains), the English father who welcomes his American son back to the ancestral homeland and estate. It is believed that Blunt will play Del Toro's love interest, the young English shop owner (or at least that's how it went in 1941).

Blunt describes the film as a "really smart" Gothic period piece as well as "not a film I would actually go to see." She caught herself by saying that she doesn't like scary films, but she should really learn to sell her movies better.
