Danny DeVito has signed on for "When in Rome," a romantic comedy co-starring Kristen Bell that Disney is producing. Bell will play a "love-starved New York curator who steals magical coins from a famous Roman fountain but soon finds herself in a bizarre situation when she is pursued back to New York by a band of aggressive suitors – the very people whose coins she took. DeVito will play one of the suitors" (The Hollywood Reporter).
Will Arnett, Josh Duhamel, Jon Heder, Anjelica Huston, and Dax Shepard are also in the cast of this less-than-promising sounding rom-com. At least Huston knows how to act, DeVito is entertaining, and Will Arnett is one of the best comic actors in the business, but otherwise I don't see this one working out. Mark Steven Johnson, the man who brought us "Ghost Rider" and "Daredevil," is directing.
