Variety, which is now ubiquitous to the point of not requiring a hyperlink, reports that Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry is under contract to produce four more years of the hit ABC show.

I've never watched this show but all of the women in it terrify me (except for Eva Longoria, who just pisses me off). If Teri Hatcher's plastic surgery is still intact by 2011, I'll be extremely surprised. Not to mention the fact that the show has now been guaranteed four more damn years: for modern television, that's almost inconceivable. We'll have goddamned flying cars by then.
