News > David Slade to Direct Unthinkable

Written by David Morgan

David Slade, the director behind 30 Days of Night and Hard Candy, has been hired to helm Unthinkable for Sidney Kimmel Entertainment. The plot concerns a man who knows the locations of three nuclear weapons set to detonate in the United States, and the psychological manipulation that is used to try and extract that information.

It sounds like an episode (any episode) of 24, but it was written by Peter Woodward (Closing the Ring) and Oren Moverman (I'm Not There) wrote the screenplay so it may have more promise than it sounds like. Casting is underway, and they're hoping to start production this summer.
