More superhero news today. Appropriately enough, it's news concerning the upcoming film featuring Green Lantern's fast friend The Flash. A new director has been hired and it's not one of the ones you might have expected. David Dobkin, (director of Wedding Crashers and Fred Claus) told MTV recently that he'd been tapped for the job and that the film would essentially be a spin-off of the Justice League of America movie. 

When asked which Flash alter-ego would be wearing the costume, he replied "Wally West." West was the nephew of the previous Flash, Barry Allen. Allen was a founding member of the JLA, and that film reportedly opens with his funeral.

Dobkin also spilled the tagline for the Flash movie. "You can’t outrun yourself."
