One of the most iconic dancers of her generation, Cyd Charisse has died of an apparent heart attack at the age of 86. The tall, graceful actress matched steps with the likes of Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire in a number of classic musicals including "Singin' in the Rain," "The Band Wagon," "Ziegfield Follies" and more. She is survived by her husband Tony Martin and two sons.

It would probably be best to let her dancing do the talking. Here she is with Astaire in Vincente Minnelli's "The Band Wagon." RIP.
