Collin Chou (Fearless, The Matrix Reloaded) has joined the already incredible cast of The Forbidden Kingdom, which includes martial arts superstars Jackie Chan and Jet Li. According to the Hollywood Reporter, "Principle photography has started, with Rob Minkoff directing from a John Fusco original screenplay based on the Chinese legend of the Monkey King." Chou will play a character called the Jade War Lord. Sounds great!

 

The plot description on IMDb sounds less great: "A discovery made by a kung fu obsessed American teen sends him on an adventure to China, where he joins up with a band of martial arts warriors in order to free the imprisoned Monkey King." Uhhh. But Rob Minkoff knows what he's doing. He directed Stuart Little and The Haunted Mansion! Uhh.

 

Ah, who cares. We all just want to see Jet Li and Jackie Chan fight anyway.
