Okay, okay, sorry. Bruce Greenwood is the next in a series of cult-y actors chosen for J.J. Abrams Star Trek IX. He's been chosen to play Christopher Pike, the previous captain of the Enterprise before Kirk took over , best known for the episodes "The Cage" and "The Menagerie."
Greenwood's an odd choice to be sure, but it's not like Abrams has been going with the generic route here. Casting speculation aside, this now ends most-if-not-all of the main roles except for Kirk's mother and father. Greenwood would also be the oldest member of the main cast–aside from Nimoy–meaning his Captain Pike could be handing over the reins to Kirk early on or he'll just show up for a cameo in that rolling black box wheelchair.
Greenwood can next be seen as a BBC reporter who exposes the Don't Look Back "Dylan" in Todd Haynes' I'm Not There.
