Like any slice of Rumor Pie, it's best to take it with a big scoop of doubt/common sense, but CHUD claims to have an inside scoop that James Wong is attached to write and direct Dragon Ball Z.

CHUD's source claims that Wong is attached to Dragon Ball, sans Z.Aside from not being aware there is a difference, their proported casting sheet lists characters mainly for their role in the original series, not the super-powered Z series. Goku is aged to be 18 and the film's plot seems like it would take the base plot of Dragon Ball's second half of Goku battling Demon King Piccolo for the dragon balls.

The film is scheduled to shoot in November in Toronto. But this is starting to sound a lot like a revisionist Dragon Ball rather than a live-action version of the anime. 

Wong is best known for directing The One and Final Destination.
