Entertainment Weekly has the scoop after running their think piece on Warner Brothers' Justice League project that Jessica Biel has turned down the Wonder Woman role.

No exact explanation is given, but the fanboy firestorm could've had a part to play. Or she just didn't want to do another comic-inspired film without Ryan Reynolds or Wesley Snipes.

Snipes could play The Green Lantern fairly well, I think. Reynolds... Robin? So long as he's not hunting vampires with the duo, he can't do much bad with a role in this film.

Oh, THANK GOD. As if I didn't hate Biel enough, it would have been an absolute disgrace to the character if she had been cast as Wonder Woman.

They should just get Olivia Munn from G4TV to be Wonder Woman - ever see the skits on Attack Of The Show? She certainly looks the part, and it's not as if the Justice League movie is going to need Oscar nominees to play the roles!

I think she can smell a desaster coming. Christian Bale won't be playing, that is a clear hint.
I am not sure if this can become anything than a total failure. Either you get a bunch of stars that scratch their eyes out to get more screen presence or a bunch of *ahem* aspiring new actors (read "kindergarten") that have the acting capabilities of an average potatoe.

Bale won't be in it? I thought I read somewhere that it was part of his contract-two batman movies and the justice league movie.

Nah, Bale turned them down. I think he and Routh both said no around the same time (maybe a month ago?).

Bale not being in it that is, I could give a shit less about Routh. Finding someone else to play superman wouldnt be a problem, but it would be hard to follow up Bales Batman.
