The actor behind the eponymous hero of "Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian," Ben Barnes, is in place to play Dorian Gray in a new adaptation of Oscar Wilde's only published novel "The Picture of Dorian Gray." According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film is being made by a pair of Wilde veterans. Producer Barnaby Thompson and director Oliver Parker have collaborated on adaptations of "An Ideal Husband" and "The Importance of Being Earnest." They also recently worked together on the non-Wilde comedy "St. Trinian's." Thompson says that they plan on making, "a visceral, dark horror story" and says that "the themes of stardom are as relevant as ever."
No word on the supporting cast yet. They'll be making the film at the historical Ealing Studios through Thompson's Fragile Films.
