The reigning king of comedy (for film at least) Judd Apatow is producing another rom-com by writer-director Nick Stoller, who also wrote and directed the upcoming Apatow-backed Forgetting Sarah Marshall. This new film is called Five-Year Engagement, and is set to star Stoller's writing partner Jason Segel (Knocked Up, Freaks and Geeks).

According to Variety, the film is "described as a bawdy, couples comedy, [that] charts the five-year engagement of a man (Segel) and his fiancee, following the ups and downs of their relationship."

Stoller sees this as a logical follow-up to Sarah Marshall, because…

"If Sarah Marshall (played by Kristen Bell) and Jason's character had stayed together, this might be the sequel." 

Oh no. It's like Keyser Soze all over again. Thanks a lot, Stoller.
