Ryan Murphy, director of Running With Scissors, is working on a film called Alfred Hitchcock Presents with Anthony Hopkins in place to play the Master of Suspense himself. Apparently it focuses on the difficulties Hitch faced while making Psycho. Murphy investigated similar subject matter in RKO 281, which was about the making of Citizen Kane. Jeffrey Wells also reports that Helen Mirren may play Hitchcock's wife Alma, while Janet Leigh, Anthony Perkins, and Lew Wasserman would all be characters as well.

Hopkins gave a little preview of the opening of the film to MTV.
