The Gregg Araki-directed, Anna Faris-starring stoner comedy Smiley Face will go straight to DVD, according to MTV. The indie comedy featured Faris as an actress who accidentally eats her roommate's pot brownies and goes on a series of misadventures. The film also stars Adam Brody, Danny Masterson, John Cho, John Krasinski, Jane Lynch, Marion Ross, and Danny Trejo. MTV describes the film as "subversive" but really, is there anything subversive about stoner comedies any more?
