Editorials > And now, the trailer for Valkyrie

Despite being plagued by minor problems through shooting–injuries, film malfunctions, Xenu–it looks like Valkyrie has powered through all of it to deliver a good trailer. For those of you living under a rock, this is the Tom Cruise vehicle that explores the German resistance plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler and install a shadow government in his place. Co-conceived by Colonel Claus von Stauffenberg (Cruise) after returning wounded from an attack in Tunisia, he becomes embroiled in the plot and eventually finds himself in the assassin's role.

Cruise is joined by Kenneth Branagh, Terrence Stamp, Bill Nighy and Eddie Izzard under Bryan Singer. But without further ado, Filmwad presents the trailer for you crazy kids:

Why oh WHY must Tom Cruise be in this? I would be so very excited about it otherwise...Kenneth Branagh, Terrence Stamp, Bill Nighy and Eddie Izzard? Brilliant choices, all!

But WHY CRUISE...WHY?

Shouldn't I be hearing more German accents in a movie about Nazis?
