Editorials > All Of Young Hollywood Wants To Be Cast In "Justice League"

The "Justice League of America" film had a marathon casting session this weekend that saw several members of "Young Hollywood" try out for the film. "The O.C.'s" Adam Brody, Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Common (yes the rapper) were among the 35-40 actors who tried out this weekend in front of Director George Miller.

Who do you think would be great in the parts of Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Flash, Green Lattern, etc.? Mary Elizabeth Winstead is an obvious yes as she's frickin' hot. But Common? Hmmm. Other names who tried out include Joseph Cross, D.J. Cotrona, Michael Angarano and "Friday Night Lights'" Minka Kelly, Adrianne Palicki and Scott Porter.

Some casting decisions will be made by the middle of the week.

And here's a picture of Mary Elizabeth Winstead. Why? Why the eff not.

Actually Common isn't that strange of a choice. They were probably auditioning him for Green Lantern. Rumor has it that they're doing the John Stewart GL as opposed to the several other GLs there have been over the years. Although, Common might make a good Martian Manhunter too.

Now if you were questioning his acting abilities, I can't vouch for him. Haven't seen him in much.

If you can't wait for the JLA movie, check out this DVD with film trailers for "World's Finest" featuring Superman and Batman; and "Grayson" about the 'death' of Batman. It will tide your appetite over until (if?) the release of the JLA movie!
