From Variety:
"Wallace and Gromit" animation house Aardman has signed a three-year first look deal with Sony Pictures entertainment, finally giving the animators a home after having terminated their long relationship with DreamWorks.
Four scripts are advanced in their development stage, including a new Nick Park "Wallace and Gromit" film.
Executives at Aardman blame their former home, DreamWorks, for leading them down the wrong path (3D animation rather than clay, Hollywood development structure) which led to 2006's "Flushed Away" a disappointment where "Wallace and Gromit" was such a success. As a point of reference, "Flushed" cost $130 million and grossed $176 million, whereas "Wallace and Gromit" cost $50 million, grossed $200 million worldwide and won the Oscar for best animated film in 2005.
