Via Hollywood Reporter:
Holy fuck! "The Hip Hop Project" got a PG-13 rating even though it uses the word "fuck" 17 times. The film, which is executive produced by Bruce Willis and Queen Latifah, originally received an R rating from the MPAA. The film's producers, director Matt Ruskin and the subject of the documentary, Chris "Kazi" Rolle, appealed the rating, claiming the film's message outweighed any explicit content in the film.
"The Hip Hop Project" follows the rapper Kazi over four years, from homelessness to his role helping a group of poor New York kids make their own album.
