Universal Pictures has purchased Skyscraper, a modern-day Towering Inferno.  According to Variety the moive is based on a developer who sets out to build a mile high building in Chicago only for it to come crumbling down. 

Neal Moritz is producing this Mike Sobel script with Tania Landau producing.  Not sure if America is ready for anything with a building crumbling down just yet, but what do I know, still think 9/11 affects so many families out there.
