The"Outlander" series based on a series of fantasy novels is going into development under Essential Pictures. According to Variety the goal is to get into production by next spring with the adaptaion that Randall Wallace has put together.
Gabaldon's series of six novels center on an 18th century Scottish Highlander and his time-traveling wife.
