Dwight Little has been recruited to direct the Tekken film we didn't even know was happening. Mr. Little has directed a number of earlier films including Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid (the second Anaconda film for those who haven't been keeping track), Rapid Fire, and Steven Seagal's Marked for Death. Well he certainly knows his third-rate action films.

So what's this film based on the beloved Namco fighter game about? Little told Variety, "The film plays out as a science fiction story set in the near future, about a rebel who rises up against the Tekken Corp. to seize freedom for his people. It's a gladiator story, but the videogame has a complicated enough storyline that it provides the template for a martial arts spectacular."

You heard it here. The plot is "complicated enough."
