Empire Magazine is killing us right now. In an exclusive conversation with director Sam Raimi, the mag revealed that Spidey 4 is on the tips of some very important tongues, so to speak…There's no doubt that the movie will happen, but until now there has been rampant speculation as to the direction and quality of the impending 4th chapter. From Raimi himself:

“I want to help contribute to the production,” he said. “I don’t know if I’ll just be a producer on it but if I can work with the writer in such a way so that directing would be right for me, I don’t know. We’ve had our first meeting on Spider-Man 4 and we’re looking for the writer.”

We know, we know…it's pretty non-commital, but it's the strongest indication to date that things are progressing as they should. We will keep you updated as the bits emerge.
