Variety reports that Johnny To's Exiled has been chosen as Hong Kong's pick for Best Foreign Language Film at the Oscars.

Exiled does what most Johnny To films do: focus on gangs, family and impressive acting and action. It's an interesting choice to say the least for an Oscar nod.
