Rotten Tomatoes doesn't know who is starring in it, who will be directing it, or who will write the script, but evidently it'll be released exactly a week after Iron Man.

If there was ever an alien movie that didn't need to be remade, it's The Day the Earth Stood Still: compared to other sci-fi flicks of the time, Day focused much more on human interaction and character development than bothering with abundant special effects. 

"Klaatu berrada nicto" will likely not have the same punch today that it had in 1951.
